The Vow Awards were founded by filmmakers who spent years watching great work go unseen. We wanted a fair, monthly, independent standard of excellence — one that isn't owned by a magazine, a vendor, or a single association. An affordable way for all WPVs to enter their works into a fair contest. And an easy way for engaged couples to find the best WPVs in their local area
WPVs (Wedding Photographers & Videographers) are among the hardest-working artists in the world — and the most invisible. Existing awards are annual, expensive, or tied to a single publication's taste. We built a platform that celebrates thousands of great WPVs every month, in every region, on the strength of the work alone. Yearly contests are nice, but engaged couples want to see local award winning WPVs every month. We give a lot of awards, but only to deserving, creative WPVs who will provide exceptional memories to thousands of engaged couples
Every entry passes through two independent stages: an AI screening on objective, category-specific criteria, and a panel of rotating human judges who are working wedding professionals themselves. No pay-to-play. No permanent "board of directors" picking their friends. No agenda except to highlight the best WPVs each month. This is as fair as it gets.
The Vow Awards is not affiliated with any single association, publication, education platform, or vendor. Judges rotate. Regions have their own winners. Multiple categories to recognize excellence across many significant preferences.
You will spend more on photography and videography than on your dress, your rings, and your flowers combined. And you have two hours of Instagram and a stranger's website to base that decision on. A shared, independent standard helps you narrow the field to creatives whose work has been recognized and awarded by industry professionals. These are the finest WPVs in your region. Look for the Vow Awards badge on their website and social media.

That means an entry fee that is extremely reasonable; monthly cycles so you don't wait a year to be recognized; regional winners so the best in Boise doesn't have to beat the best in Brooklyn; and a badge, profile page, and press asset every winner can actually use.
